In the midst of all of life’s activity, do you ever feel like you are just skimming the surface? Do you wonder if there is more to this life with Christ? That you have been called to something greater?
Here are a few opportunities for you to go deeper in your faith and find community at New Hope:
We are continuing our new program for Sunday School at New Hope!
Just like we did during our Fall session, for Advent, we will be using a video series from the Study Gateway platform to guide our discussions. This session will run for the four Sundays of Advent, from December 3rd to December 24th, from 9:00 to 9:45 am.
As has become our custom, we will have three different classes available for adults. However, during this Advent session, each class will follow the same curriculum. The course is "The Case for Christmas" by Lee Strobel, and you can see a quick preview of it here:
We look forward to seeing you in class!
To sign up for this session, please sign up on the sheets in the back of the sanctuary or use this link!
Our Small Group ministry is looking for you! We have a number of groups meeting regularly, and we are sure there's one that would be a great fit for you. We'll be updating this link with a full list in the near future, but for now, please reach out to Rex Teeple if you would like to know more.
Men's Retreat 2024: All the men of New Hope are invited to participate in a special men’s retreat on Friday and Saturday February 23rd and 24th. For those who want, we will meet Friday for dinner at Wings Etc. (4915 Emerson Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46203) at 5:30, and then proceed to the Benedict Inn Retreat & Conference Center. The Friday night session will begin at 7:00. The theme of this year’s retreat is “Answering Jesus’ Call.” The study will look at the Bible passages surrounding Jesus’ call to follow Him, not just the Disciples but others as well and will be led by Pastor Kemper.
The retreat will include the study, a time of worship, and plenty of time for fellowship. The cost will be $95 ($110 for a private bathroom, space limited) and will include Friday night’s lodging, space for discussions, as well as breakfast and lunch on Saturday.
Make plans to join your brothers for this retreat! Help us plan by letting us know you will attend. Fill out the retreat registration below.
The 2024 Spring Women's Retreat will be held Saturday, April 20. For more specific details to follow soon.
Motherhood is difficult ... we invite you to take some time for yourself and join us.
What is MOPS?
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. It is an international organization that recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are a fundamental time in the mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs for community and support. MOPS groups meet regularly to share the joys and challenges of motherhood. The international website is www.mops.org.
MOPS meeting topics can be anything from doing a craft together for fellowship or listening to a speaker talk about relevant parenting topics, and of course there is always brunch.
When does MOPS meet?
New Hope MOPS meets 1 to 2 Fridays per month September through May from 9:30 – 11:30 am.
There is also a Moms Night Out (MNO) gathering and a Playdate scheduled once per month for those who would like to participate. In addition, MOPS offers its members opportunities for service projects.
What will my child do during MOPS?
The childcare program is staffed by paid workers who have completed our background check process. Teachers take great care of the children in the preschool wing while the mothers meet in the sanctuary. MOPS Kids activities include a snack for the children, craft or other creative activity (depending on age of the child), stories, songs and of course, playtime with other kids. MOPS International provides an age appropriate curriculum.
The Journey: An Invitation to Grow Deeper in Your Walk with Christ
The Journey invites you to awaken to God’s good work in and through you. Imagine the significant rewards that could result if you are brave enough to walk through a process that deepens and refreshes your life with Christ with a group of curious, motivated adults.
The Journey is a meaningful walk with others that explores the biggest questions of your faith: Who is God? Who am I? What does God desire to do through me?
The Journey group (usually 6-12 people) meets together weekly, guided by a trained facilitator who encourages accountability, safe relationships, thoughtful reflection, honest conversation, and prayer. During the pandemic, our Journey groups will meet on Zoom.
*The cost of materials is $250.00
