Hi! My name is Kelly Wyant. This is my first year teaching at New Hope. I am VERY excited to be part of such a wonderful program. I've spent the last ten years teaching Kindergarten and Reading in Wayne Township. I have a true passion for teaching kiddos that are starting off their education. It's so important to instill a love for learning at a young age. I graduated in 2007 from Ball State University with an Elementary Education degree.
I'm about to come up upon my fourth wedding anniversary to my wonderful husband Chris! We recently became new parents to our beautiful daughter Clarie. She is 9 months old! We share our home with Reggie, our yellow labrador retriever. I'm looking forward to a wonderful school year with your child!
We love to go to the beach as a a family and try to make it there twice a year.
I am excited to start working at New Hope this year. I will be in the Bears class on Wednesdays and Fridays. I love all the learning and excitement of a 2-3 year old. we are going to have fun learning to play together, create fun crafts and explore new things.
I grew up in Mishawaka, Indiana and then studied Elementary Education at Ball State University. I moved to Indianapolis and taught in the Indianapolis Public Schools for 14 years prior to staying home. I have been married for 8 years to my husband Dan. We have 3 daughters, Kelsey is in first grade, Kylie will be attending New Hope in the PreK II class and Kenzi is 1.5 and will attend the Lambs and Bears class this year.
We love to travel, go camping, spend time with friends and family and all things sports.
I teach the youngest kids at New Hope Preschool. I am excited to watch these young preschool minds grow and develop throughout the year. I will create a safe and nurturing learning environment. The children will learn through hands-on activities, music, interacting with others, and free play. I also want to instill a love and understanding for God and for every child to have a positive first experience at New Hope Preschool.
I am married to my husband Chad and we have three boys Grant 6, Mitchell 4 and Brooks 1. All of my children have attended New Hope Preschool or are currently attending. I graduated from Franklin College with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I taught for seven years in the public school system in Elementary Education.
I enjoy running and traveling with my family. We love the Chicago Cubs, going to the beach and riding bikes.
My Favorite Scripture
"Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. i will strengthen you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."
Program Planner and Executive Director since 2002
I began in the creation of New Hope Parent's Day Out & Preschool as a founding board member in the spring of 2002. After the development of our program, we launched our first Parent's Day Out classes in January 2003. In the Fall of 2004, we expanded by adding Preschool classes and I was hired by the Board of Directors as the Executive Director, responsible for overseeing nine classrooms, three with options for extended day or enrichment, and the best preschool staff in Fishers!
As an outreach ministry of New Hope I am passionate in helping our families connect with each other and with the greater New Hope family. It brings me great joy when families begin to attend New Hope on Sundays; and it is a special blessing to watch their heart for Christ and love for others blossom.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Education, with an Early Childhood concentration from Eastern Illinois University. My husband Jason and I have just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and I am blessed to be the mother of two wonderful children, Joshua, 23 and Kayla, 21. Joshua graduated with honors from Indiana University this past spring and is currently working full time at the Maurer School of Law Library. Kayla is a Nursing major at Indiana University, Bloomington. I also have two crazy dogs, Hershey and AJ.
Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
Philippians 4:13, "I can do everything through him who gives me strength."
I love all types of Christian music and love to read mysteries when I have the opportunity.

As Assistant Preschool Director, I assist the Director, Karen Sutcliffe, with many of the day to day operations throughout the school year. As a PreK I Co-Teacher, I teach children ages 4 and 5. In this age group we focus on teaching and strengthening academic skills along with creative activities to get the children ready for Kindergarten.
My greatest joy of being part of the New Hope Preschool program is watching the children grow throughout the school year.
I believe we are all here at New Hope as “teachers” to further a child’s love and understanding of God.
I have lived in Indiana since 1997 and have two adult children, a son and a daughter. I have been married for 32 years. I love to cook and read.

I love teaching at New Hope Preschool! It is such a joy to be able to teach children who are eager to learn. I not only teach and guide the children throughout the day, but the beauty of teaching at our school is we also learn faith throughout the day. I feel blessed to be here at NHPS, where the students are inspiring and families offer the kindest support!
I grew up in Texas and attended Texas A&M University with B.S. in Criminal Justice. I have a wonderful husband and three amazing children, two who have attended New Hope Preschool.

My job as the preschool teacher is to teach the joy of fitness and playing to our young students. Who doesn't love to spin in circles and fall to the ground and yell out the shapes we see up in the clouds? I am the lucky one who gets to skip, gallop and hop through my days. The kids I encounter every week love new adventures. They learn how to create new games. Some days, they just dance with me. To hear their laughter and see their smiles reminds me to stay young myself and enjoy the simple joys in our lives. Being at New Hope reminds me how truly blessed I am, and encourages me to see these kids grow, develop and become more confident. Sometimes, I wonder who is more lucky, my students or me?
I have been married for 18 years to Johnathan and we have 3 kids, Reece (16), Nash (14) and Tatum (12) and an awesome dog named Lorenzo Cain Coleman (Cain).
Matthew 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."

I work alongside the other fantastic teachers to create a nurturing and fun environment for the two year olds as part of New Hope Preschool. I love being able to facilitate an activity and watch the children discover something new, create a cute craft, or explore and adjust to time away from their parents - making new friends. Each day in our classroom is different, a challenge and a blessing.

I am passionate about teaching children a love for learning.
I see on a daily basis what a difference all of us in the preschool make in the lives of the hundred plus children by sharing our love and passion with them.
I graduated with a business degree and worked in the business world for many years before becoming a stay at home mom of two. As the faith and values teacher, I teach our monthly chapel and “faith friends” classes at New Hope preschool. I am passionate about sharing the love of God with children, giving them a firm foundation on which their faith can grow as they get older. I use engaging stories, music, object lessons, crafts and games to get kids excited to learn about God and His immense love for His children.
I am a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church and have been active in the children’s ministry at the church for many years. I am married with two girls, one in elementary school and one in intermediate school. I left my career as an urban planner in 2007 to stay home with my girls. When I first started leading children’s messages in church, people would often ask if I was a teacher, to which I would respond “no, I’m just a mom”. I was serving on the preschool board when the faith and values position became available, and it was the perfect fit! I am also a part time portrait and wedding photographer.
