    Tom and I have two children, Tori, who is in college, and Jason, who is in middle school.  We love to be outdoors, particularly on the water.

    I am the Assoicate Pastor at New Hope 

     

    What do you enjoy about your ministry:

    The people!  One of my great joys is to walk alongside others as we learn and grow as disciples of Jesus.

    Education:

    I’m a life-long Indiana resident and graduated from Butler University in 1981 with a degree in Arts Administration.  I’ve been very active in the local music scene, serving as the accompanist for Indianapolis Opera for 28 years and participating in many community theatre productions.

    Family life:

    I live in Noblesville with my husband Howard and our Jack Russell Terrier; Frazier.

    Describe your ministry at New Hope: 

    As the Worship Arts Director, I am responsible for coordinating all of the music for our Sunday services. I direct our Chancel Choir, Men’s Ensemble, Bell Choir and Praise Band. I also work with our Worship Team as well as the Sound and Video Team to plan our services with Pastor Steve!

    What do you enjoy about your ministry?

    New Hope is such an awesome family of believers.  I feel honored to share the gifts God has given me as we travel on our faith journeys together. I am so blessed to work with such great people!

    Purdue all the way! Boiler Up! I love sports. My dad is a sports writer and it definitely has rubbed off on me. NFL is my favorite. #ColtsStrong

    I would have to say cat. I had one amazing cat for 19 years.

    Dr. Pepper is my favorite. I am still unsure of whether it is a pepsi or coke product though because I have seen it on both. Best of both worlds, maybe?

    When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
    Royal Taste Tester. I watched Scooby Doo a lot and on one of the episodes they were Royal Taste Testers. I remember saying that is the best job. I love food, that hasn’t changed though.

    Favorite place to get away?
    Pretty much anywhere. I have not went many places so I still have a lot of exploring to do!

    Family Life:

    It’s about to get really exciting. I recently got engaged to my high school sweetheart, Ethan Fager. We will be getting married in December and are excited to enter this new stage of life. My other family includes my mom and dad, Reggie and Phyllis Hayes, as well as my two siblings, Alice and Reggie. 

    Education:
    Bachelor’s degree from Grace College in Youth Ministry and Communications. I graduated in 2013 and have been doing youth ministry for 2 years before moving here. 

    Describe your ministry at New Hope:
    I am the director of Student Ministries which covers a broad range of ages from 5th-12th. My ministry is to see students’ lives transformed through the hope of Jesus Christ. Ultimately, my goal is for students to understand and own their faith so that it continues even when they graduate. 

    What do you enjoy about your ministry?
    People. Plain and simple. Whether that is a student, parent, or volunteer, one of my greatest joys is simply living life with them. I also really enjoy sliming students, but who doesn’t?

    Describe your ministry at New Hope:

    My ministry at New Hope is to provide counseling to members as well as those in the community, who are struggling with the challenges of life.  I see individuals, couples and families in my practice.

    What do you enjoy about your ministry?

    While the people who come into my office are struggling and in great pain, it is so exciting to witness their growth as they discover who they are truly meant to be.
